Synopsis
Detective Raimy Sullivan is stunned when a voice suddenly crackles through her father’s old, long-broken ham radio – it’s Frank Sullivan, somehow transmitting over the airwaves and through the decades from 1996. Separated by twenty years, father and daughter have reunited on a frequency only they can hear, but can they rewrite the story of their lives without risking everyone they love?

The trailer has quite the hook, but the series doesn't have the sinker. The first 2 episodes are amazing and really want to make you binge watch the series. It has an "save the cheerleader, save the world" vibe that Heroes had in season 1. But come episode 3, things start going awry and it becomes a chore to pull through. The acting is good, but the writing is awful. For whatever reason, the series can't seem to make up its mind on who's the bad guy, which plot they want to follow, and just how smart or dumb people are. It seems like the writers wanted to have multiple sub-plots going, but couldn't decide on how. Normally every change and episode cliff-hanger should make you **want** to know more, but instead it leaves you with dread of "oh no, I'm not sure I want to know what they came up with this time". And just when you think they'll get a grip of the story and keep it sensible, it changes again. Probably they thought twists and turns increased excitement, but there's too much of a good thing and this show definitely takes it to a point where it's painful. If you're a sucker for drama, a bit of sci-fi, and plot twists, this is up your alley. Otherwise, this also makes for very good material to discuss how the series could've been improved on (and there is a lot).
