Love Is Better the Second Time Around

Oh this was so much fun! Finally a sexy, mature BL-Drama with likeable lead characters. Nice to rewatch, too.

This is the story of two guys that fell in love in high school and were about to run away together, but something broke them up. Now both 30 years old, they accidentally reconnect and at first that opens a lot of old, hurt feelings, but in time they decide to give love a second chance. The story is mostly told with them being 30, but there are some flashbacks to high school. The story is quite moving and it does have a happy ending, but it also kind of gives you the "one who got away" feelings too. It is only six parts, and I wish it had been longer, but the only frustrating part is that they keep eluding to what happened in high school as it broke them, but they don't actually explain what that was until the last two episodes. Personally, I think it would have been better if they had told us what that was right up front as that was the issue that had to be addressed in order for them to get back together and as the viewer, you really don't know what happened through most of the series. I was definitely worth watching!
